Most people believe that you will not die from e-cigs until old age but that it very untrue. There is a new mystery going around that the cdc is trying to investigate. Around 50 people recently have died from unknown causes due to vaping. I do not know if this scares you but it would scare me. I do not want to put harmful chemicals into my body that can potentially kill me. The question is do you?

E-Cig Risks

As we still no very little about e-cigs there are still a couple effects that we know of. When inhaling e-cigs you get inhale ultrafine particles into your lungs. Some of the chemicals in these particles such as heavy metals, nickel, and tin can lead to lung disease. Besides lung disease if you start smoking at a young age you can affect your brain an it will not develop properly. A risk that also comes from e-cigs is that since they are battery operated the battery can explode. There have been many injuries due to the fact of exploding batteries. The best way to avoid these serious issues all together is to stay away from these products altogether.

E-Cig Industry

If you did not know already E-cigs are a 2.5 billion dollar company in the United States alone. In 2014 the e-cig industry spent $125 million dollars just to advertise their products. Studies have shown that kids seeing these ads are more likely to use these products. Today already 68 percent of high school students use e-cigs with flavors. Are goal as a whole is to cut back on the uses of not only adults to protect their health but kids at a young age are at even more risk.

What is an E-Cig

E-Cigs are a different compared to normal cigarettes and cigars. E-Cigs are battery operated and the battery is used to heat up the nicotine. The nicotine is dispersed in a vapor form. The studies on these vapors are still unknown at the moment and leave many wondering on the health affects that it comes with.
